      What’s Included: The Complete 31-Point PM1 Inspection

Every PM2 service starts with our comprehensive 31-Point Inspection process. During this inspection, our EGSA-certified technicians thoroughly evaluate every critical system and component of your generator.

What Makes PM2 Different: Annual Service Items

In addition to the complete 31-Point Inspection, PM2 includes these critical annual service tasks:

      Engine Oil Change

Fresh engine oil is the lifeblood of your generator. Annual oil changes remove contaminants, restore proper viscosity, and protect bearings, pistons, and cylinder walls from wear. Clean oil also improves cooling efficiency and extends engine life.

      Oil Filter Replacement

A clean oil filter ensures contaminants are removed from engine oil before they can cause damage. Annual replacement maintains optimal filtration efficiency and protects critical engine components.

      Air Filter Replacement

Clean air filters ensure proper combustion efficiency, engine performance, and fuel economy. Replacing air filters annually prevents dust and debris from entering the engine, protecting turbochargers and cylinder walls.

      Coolant Filter Replacement

Coolant filters protect your engine’s cooling system by removing rust, scale, and other contaminants. Annual replacement prevents cooling system corrosion and maintains proper heat transfer.

      Recommended Annual Load Bank Testing

One of the most important components of PM2 service is the **Load Bank Test**. Many generators only run during brief monthly no-load exercises, which means they’ve never been tested under real-world conditions. A generator that starts is not the same as a generator that performs.

      What Is Load Bank Testing?

A load bank safely applies a controlled, incremental electrical load to your generator and measures performance at each step. Our technicians simulate real-world conditions, typically at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 80%, to verify the unit’s capability, stability, and cooling capacity over time.

      Recommended PM Schedule

      PM2 + Load Bank Test

      (PM1 + All Filters & Oil Change)

      PM3 Inspection

(PM2 + Coolant, Hoses, Gaskets & Thermostats Change)

      What They’re Saying

I needed to upgrade my pecan processing plant. The equipment I need is 3 phase and I only have single phase at my location. The electric company is slow to respond and I also figured that it would not be feasible. I thought maybe a generator would work instead. I started out with an internet search and the first company that came up was Generator Source. When I brought up the website, it was very informative and had a very good selection of generators with lots of pictures. When I contacted you, you were very helpful and had several generators to choose from. I felt I really didn’t need to look anywhere else. Shipping was prompt, and the unit was just as shown in pictures.

Excellent service ! The company that installed my original whole house generator went out of business. I couldn’t get another company to even respond to a phone call for continuing maintenance on my generator ! I called Generator Source and they came out the next day and serviced my generator with professional, friendly service. I absolutely will use this company again for my ongoing maintenance. Thanks Andrew and Oliver !!!
